•(Background)Well, I’d like to give you a short presentation on a website called youku.com which is quite well-known all over China. Additionally, I think it is a helpful website as all sorts of videos are available here. What I am trying to say is that not only I can use the website to entertain myself, but it is also beneficial for my studies. As you know, it is just like youtube in America which is very popular around the world, but unfortunately we couldn’t get on it in China.

•(Functions)What’s more, it is a significant way to get me relaxed and unwind to watch videos on youku. You know, I am very fond of watching movies on this website for there are a number of blockbusters here. Recently I watched a movie about the future called wall-e, actually it was a spectacular animation which presented the future year of 2700 when the earth would be filled with skyscrapers of rubbish and become a wasteland. And there was a company that invented a robot called Wall-e in order to take care of the rubbish. Frankly speaking, I was attracted by the movie for both the adorable robot and the appeal to protect our environment.

•(Memory)You know, apart from watching movies in my spare time, I would also prefer to watch other videos about education. I clearly remember I watched a video on youku last week which was a speech delivered by an American person named Jay Walker who talked about different kinds manias such as Beatles mania, sports mania as well as religious mania. Besides, he also presented that there was a new mania today which was English mania. You know, I was amazed by the video he showed about how crazy Chinese people are when they are learning English and all the audiences were amused when he said China has become the largest English Speaking country in the world today.

•(Good points)Well, as for another merit of this website, I would say I can study French by watching the French Learning videos here. You know, I have always been interested in French which I heard is the most romantic language in the world. However, I learned that it is a difficult language to learn for the grammar is much more complicated comparing with English. The good thing is there are many videos about French learning on youku, which I think is really helpful for me to study it.

•(My feelings)Personally speaking, I believe youku changed the way I study. You know, we generally study in the classroom face to face with teachers. But youku provides us a new method to study for it has uploads a variety of lessons online. Basically I guess it is the biggest change in my life. That’s pretty much about my talk, thank you.
