　　16.in an effort to do sth 相当于in order to 而with an effort类似with difficulty 如：I stop crying with an effort.我好不容易才止住了哭。

　　17.take/get credit for--因为什么而得到赞扬。

　　如：I cannot take all credit for Sara's success in SAT.Sara SAT的成功不能都归功于我。

　　18.vary in--根据(大小，形状)不同而不同;vary with--根据(季节、文化--)等变化情况而变化
