注意事项:
The actual Listening test takes 30 minutes. When you are handed your question paper, you must listen to the instructions very carefully. You need to write your candidate name and number on the front cover of the Listening question paper, but must NOT turn the paper over. Many candidates do not listen to the instructions, mainly because they are very keen to start the test, but listening is very important. You must remain focussed during the test as the CD can only be played once.
When the CD begins, do not automatically turn over to the first page. The CD begins with further instructions which you must listen to. The CD will actually tell you when to turn over to the first page, so remember not to touch the paper until you hear the instructions ‘You may now turn to page …’
While listening to the different tasks, you should write your answers directly onto the QUESTION paper, and NOT the answer sheet. This is because by the time you find the appropriate number to complete the answer, you may have missed some vital information for the next question. You must always use the QUESTION paper to complete the Listening test.
At the beginning of each section, you are given a few seconds to read through the task. Use this time for that section only (e.g. if the CD says ‘Look at questions 1-5', you should only answer questions 1-5 and no further. At the end of the section, you are given 30 seconds to check through your answers. Again, use this time to check through your answers – DO NOT look at the next section until you are directed to do so. Some candidates use the time to look further on in the Question booklet, but this will only make you lose focus on what you are supposed to be doing.
Part 4 is the only section where you have to answer all 10 questions without stopping. At the end of the test, the CD will give you 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the Answer Sheet. You must ensure that you write the answers that match the question number. If you find that there are some gaps, and you really aren't sure what the answers are, then you can guess. You never know you may make the right guess and get an extra mark. If you enter a wrong answer, you do not lose marks, but obviously you don't gain any either. However, it is better to have tried all of the answers.
额外提示:
Some extra important information:
· You can only use pencil for the Listening test – it is better to place your pen (if you have one) under your desk to avoid using it by mistake.
· You must only write your answers on the Listening side. Do not turn the paper over unless you have been told to do so.
· As always, stop writing as soon as the CD tells you to do so. If you continue to write, you risk being disqualified, even if you only write an extra letter.
GOOD LUCK!
