SPP的意义即为"中加国际学生合作计划",此举尤其适用于雅思达到6.0以上的学生，对于此类学生，加拿大驻使馆将放松对其资金来源的检查，取消资金担保12个月存款历史的硬性规定。只要学生付清第一年学费，并存入加拿大银行10000加元的GIC生活费存款(定息定期存款)即可。该费用学生抵加后可以按月支取，如签证出现问题，该费用也会退还给学生。
