　　It depends on what kind of animal he wants to keep.

　　Take dog as an example. I have many advices.

　　First, you need to make sure your dog is trained in basic obedience, is socialized with other dogs, people, and things.

　　In addition, You will need to feed him, give him fresh water every day, take him for walks for exercise, have a place to bring him inside when it’s freezing or storming outside, and will need to give him lots of tender-love-care.

　　Third, you need to make sure that your dog is adequately exercised every single day, and that she is constantly being introduced to new and interesting things, to keep her mind sharp.

　　Yes, certainly, reading fiction is more enjoyable. Reading fiction specifically expands my imagination, gets another part of my brain working - my imaginative side, the side that deals with imagery and thought. It also expands vocabulary. Other benefits, is that it is simply something fun and relaxing that I can do in my own time and on my own curled up somewhere. It doesn't require me to be attentive or analyze everything I read. It gives my body a chance to relax.
