  1. What is the strongest aspect of your country’s educational system?

The strongest subject in my country’s schools is without doubt mathematics. Chinese students are known for their advanced skills in math. That is why we usually get a full score on the math section of tests like the SATs and the GREs. At a very young age we start learning arithmetic and how to calculate complex numbers quickly and accurately. I once was talking with an American student about the difference between math education in China and America. It seems that Chinese students start learning advanced math, like algebra, one or two years sooner than American students. We also are not allowed to use calculators in advanced math courses, but in American they are allowed to use calculators. A recent study also showed that Chinese students test higher in math than any other country.

  2. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Cell phones are necessary in order to run a successful business.

Of course cell phones are necessary to run a business. In fact, I think cell phones are a vital to success. Communication is an important part of business. Making yourself available for clients is a top priority. In today’s fast-paced world, a client who has trouble reaching you will not be your client for long. My father, for example, is always contacted by his clients. If a client has an emergency, they must be able to contact him right away. Before when his office only had landlines, he always was worried about missing a call. With his cell phone, he is able to leave the office and accomplish more work and he doesn’t have to worry about missing important phone calls. Cellphones keep your business from falling behind the competition.
